ONE YEAR AT INFINISWISS: A MEMOIR FROM BUCHAREST

It’s hard to believe a full year has already passed since I joined InfiniSwiss. Looking back, it feels like both a blink and a whole journey — filled with growth, connections, challenges, and a lot of good moments along the way.
Even though I’m based in Bucharest and work remotely, I’ve never felt distant from the team. From my very first weeks, I was welcomed with warmth and openness, and that feeling has stayed with me ever since. Whether it's the regular syncs, casual chats, or even random meme exchanges, there’s always been a strong sense of camaraderie.
Every few months, I had the chance to travel to our headquarters in Cluj-Napoca. Those visits turned out to be more than just work trips — they were moments to connect with colleagues beyond screens, share laughs, enjoy dinners, and brainstorm ideas face-to-face. Cluj has this great energy and our office there matches it perfectly. It’s always a bit of a recharge to go back.
Outside of Romania, I’ve also been lucky enough to be part of two delegations — one to Berlin and another to Switzerland. Both were great learning opportunities, offering a new perspective on our work and a chance to collaborate with teams and clients more directly. Zurich, in particular, had a special charm, and it was incredible to finally see the Swiss HQ in person.
We also had two teambuildings this year. And honestly? They were awesome. Whether hiking, playing board games, or just chatting over a late-night drink, those events helped solidify the feeling that we’re more than just coworkers. We're a pretty fun bunch.
From a technical perspective, this year has been incredibly enriching. I’ve worked across different types of projects, touched new technologies, and learned how to better structure and approach problems. But beyond the technical gains, I’ve grown in soft skills too — becoming more communicative, more confident, and more open to feedback.
InfiniSwiss is the kind of place where asking questions is encouraged, and that has made all the difference in how fast I’ve evolved. What stands out the most, though, is the people. My colleagues are kind, fun, and always ready to help. There’s a genuine culture of support here — something you don’t find everywhere.
If I had to summarize this first year in one word, I think it would be growth. And if I could use two more, they’d be belonging and gratitude. Here’s to many more moments like these. Cheers to Year One — and to what comes next.
