Almost four months ago, I started my journey as a software engineer at InfiniSwiss, and I can confidently say it’s been a truly enriching experience. As a newly graduate of Computer Science from the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași, I was initially nervous about balancing work and school. But thanks to the flexible schedule, I’ve been able to attend exams, labs, and lectures whenever necessary. More than that, continuous learning is not just encouraged, but a core part of the company culture.

I still remember my interview process vividly. I was nervous, of course, but the format made a big difference: the topics and types of questions were shared in advance, which gave me time to prepare thoroughly and really dive deep into the concepts.

From day one, the support I received from my managers and colleagues was great. Everything—from onboarding to setting up my development environment—went smoothly. Even though I work remotely from Iași, I’ve never felt distant. Anytime I had questions or got stuck, someone was there to help. That strong sense of collaboration and openness is something I truly appreciate.

A highlight so far was our team-building trip to Colibița, Romania, where I got to meet everyone in person for the first time. Apart from the beautiful views, it was a fantastic experience and a fun way to connect with the team beyond the screen.

What makes this job especially rewarding is the opportunity to work on real, meaningful projects. Just one month in, I managed to update one of our applications developed for a Swiss nuclear powerplant owned by Axpo, and that felt amazing. It’s incredibly motivating to know that my work has a direct impact.

InfiniSwiss places a strong emphasis on people and deep technical knowledge. New ideas are always welcome, whether it’s proposing process improvements or experimenting with AI agents to boost productivity. In fact, I recently gave a couple of presentations during our weekly technical lunch meetings about using AI agents at work. Knowledge sharing, open discussion, and all forms of feedback are strongly encouraged here.

I’m genuinely grateful for everything I’ve experienced so far and excited for what’s ahead. I look forward to growing, learning, and contributing even more as I continue this journey.
